Ms. Nancy Shinohara: Rhythmic Program Instructor and Choreographer
Ms. Nancy has instructed and choreographed rhythmic gymnasts from recreational to nationally competitive levels for 20 years. She is a former US National Coach and current International Judge in rhythmic gymnastics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and has a teaching license in Physical Education for middle and high schools. She also coaches her daughter, Elena, who is a former US National Team Member.
Dr. Shino Shinohara, Ph.D.: Rhythmic Program Director and Trainer
Dr. Shino has educated instructors in various sports for > 20 years. He is a former National Team member coach. He holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Science and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Physical Education from the University of Tokyo. His academic expertise is neuromuscular physiology and learning of skilled movement. He is a Fellow member of the American College of Sports Medicine. Current scientific knowledge is incorporated into the rhythmic program.
Elena Shinohara: Rhythmic Program Instructor, Choreographer, and Demonstrator
Elena is the only former National Team Member in Georgia. Students may watch the demonstration by a high-level gymnast for achieving correct skills.
